  12. I have a Zoom V.34i modem. No problem connecting to Net, AOL, etc. Init
  13. string is AT&F&C1&D2W1S7=63

  15. BUT, at connection, modem reports (due to W1 init):

  17. CARRIER  24000
  18. PROTOCOL LAP-M
  19. CONNECT  2400
  20.  
  21. As I understand it, this means I have a modem-to-computer
  22. speed of only 2400 bps! My box uses WfWG 3.11 with TWCOMM.DRV
  23. comm driver and updated SERIAL.386.

  25. What's going on? What do I need to do to get the 
  26. modem-to-computer speed to match the modem-to-modem speed?
  27. Different init string? Work some magic with Windows settings?
  28. All suggestions appreciated.
