- I have a Zoom V.34i modem. No problem connecting to Net, AOL, etc. Init
- string is AT&F&C1&D2W1S7=63
-
- BUT, at connection, modem reports (due to W1 init):
-
- CARRIER 24000
- PROTOCOL LAP-M
- CONNECT 2400
-
- As I understand it, this means I have a modem-to-computer
- speed of only 2400 bps! My box uses WfWG 3.11 with TWCOMM.DRV
- comm driver and updated SERIAL.386.
-
- What's going on? What do I need to do to get the
- modem-to-computer speed to match the modem-to-modem speed?
- Different init string? Work some magic with Windows settings?
- All suggestions appreciated.
